Our sweet, sweet Harley…

Harley came to us in 2010. He lived with neighbors behind our house but showed up on our deck one day and wouldn’t go home. We let the neighbors know he was at our home, and they said it was fine. Their loss. Harley was THE best kitty we could ever have asked for!! He was a huge talker… many conversations with him. 💓

He was THE best brother to our Yorkie, Scooter! 💓
Those two played together, cuddled together, and explored the backyard together… just the best brothers. 💓

Harley made us laugh and was Mama’s morning coffee cuddle boy — the best cuddler. 💓

We said “farewell” to Harley on March 12, 2026. We miss him beyond words. 💔

What gives us comfort is how peacefully he passed into eternal slumber. It gave us peace, too. Kristin H. was amazing. From the minute she walked through our door, she was comforting, calm, patient, and so kind. 💓
She was very gentle and respectful with our sweet boy. She was so patient; we didn’t feel rushed at all. She gave us all the time we needed. We very much appreciated that. We just can’t say enough about our experience. We are so grateful that our sweet boy was able to pass so peacefully — even in his favorite bed. When the wave of sadness hits us, we know we did the right thing for him and he was at peace. Is at peace. 💓

It is so hard to make that decision, but as our vet said about our Scooter when he became ill, “Better a day too early than an hour too late.” Our sweet babies shouldn’t have to endure pain that we can no longer fix. They deserve peace and comfort. Thank you, Caring Pathways, for helping us give that to our sweet, sweet Harley. 💗
