Dr. Jessica Anderson has spent more than 20 years in veterinary medicine, guided by a calm and compassionate approach to caring for animals and the people who love them. She believes that end-of-life care is one of the most meaningful aspects of her work. It offers an opportunity to provide comfort, clarity, and dignity at a time when those things matter most.
Originally from rural Pennsylvania, Dr. Jess began her journey as a veterinary assistant and technician. She earned a degree in Biological Sciences from Temple University and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, followed by clinical training at the University of Florida. Her career has included veterinary compounding and general practice, but she finds deep meaning in supporting animals and their families through in-home palliative and euthanasia care.
Dr. Jess approaches each visit with compassion and empathy. She meets families where they are, offering quiet support, honest communication, and space to navigate the experience in their own way. She considers it a privilege to help pets find peace in the place they feel safest: at home.
Outside of work, Dr. Jess enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, kayaking, and scuba diving. She also loves woodworking and exploring Charlotte’s local breweries with her partner. Their home is shared with their two rescue dogs: Riptide, an adventurous “coconut retriever” from St. Kitts, and Benni, a curious and very goofy beagle mix.
