The Story of Caring Pathways

A message from Dr. Keith Tillman, “After serving the Charlotte and surrounding community as a solo practitioner for more than 10 years, I have decided to join forces with Caring Pathways, an at-home end-of-life veterinary practice that shares the same passion that Comfort at Home always has for providing compassionate veterinary care at life’s end.”

In 2010, Caring Pathways was established in Denver, Colorado by Dr. Larry Magnuson. Dr. Magnuson surrounded himself with likeminded team members who shared his passion and his vision.

Because of Dr. Magnuson’s compassionate heart and passionate leadership in building a supportive team, Caring Pathways in Colorado now consists of over 20 veterinarians and 20+ support staff members serving pet families with in-home, end-of-life pet care services.

Caring Pathways now has practices in 3 states. in 2021, Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice in Virginia Beach, Virginia joined the Caring Pathways team and Caring Pathways Charlotte launched in August of 2022.

Client Testimonials

“We are so grateful for Dr. Eddie Desko and the entire Caring Pathways team. From my initial call and virtual appointment/health assessment with Dr. Emilea, to the final goodbye with Dr. Desko, we would have been lost without their guidance and compassion. We could not have asked for a more peaceful experience as our Charlie crossed the rainbow bridge, and I am so grateful to the doctors for the confidence they instilled in the decisions we had to make.”
