Dr. Maria was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then moved back to Alabama to attend the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM in 2017. Dr. Maria spent four years in small animal general practice and two years in shelter medicine and surgery before finding her “home” with the Caring Pathways team in 2023.
Dr. Maria is grateful to be able to assist families through the end-of-life experience in the peace and comfort of the their home.
Outside of work, Dr. Maria cherishes time with her husband and children and enjoys camping, coffee shops, and podcasts.
